Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 10, 2026
At Lumière Productivity ("we", "our", or "us"), we prioritize your privacy. This policy explains how we handle your information across our website and browser extensions.
1. Local-First Data Philosophy
Our core software architecture is designed to keep your data under your control. All user-generated content (such as snippets, templates, and extracted contacts) is stored locally on your device using browser-native storage (IndexedDB). We do not have access to this data, nor do we transmit it to our servers.
2. Information We Collect Automatically
When you visit our website, we may automatically collect certain information about your device, including your browser type, IP address, and time zone. This information is used solely for site optimization and security.
3. Cookies and Third-Party Advertising
We use cookies to improve your browsing experience and analyze site traffic. A cookie is a small file placed on your device. You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent.
Third-Party Disclosures: We use third-party vendors, including Google, to serve ads based on your prior visits to our website or other websites. We want to explicitly disclose that:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to your website or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to your users based on their visit to your sites and/or other sites on the Internet.
- Third parties may be placing and reading cookies on your users' browsers, or using web beacons to collect information as a result of ad serving on your website.
To learn more about how Google processes and protects your data, please visit Google's official partner terms: How Google uses data when you use our partners' sites or apps and their legacy disclosure portal at Google Privacy & Terms for Partners.
Opting Out: Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Ads Settings. Alternatively, you can opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info.
Look for the AdChoices icon on ads to manage your preferences directly from the advertisement.
4. GDPR and CCPA Compliance
For users in the European Economic Area (EEA) and California, we respect your data rights under GDPR and CCPA:
- The Right to Access: You can request copies of your personal data.
- The Right to Rectification: You can request that we correct any information you believe is inaccurate.
- The Right to Erasure: You can request that we erase your personal data, under certain conditions.
Since our extensions use "Local-First" architecture, the vast majority of your data is never in our possession, and you can erase it directly by clearing your browser cache or deleting the extension.
5. Third-Party Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors interact with our content. This data is aggregated and does not personally identify you. Google Analytics uses cookies to track your interactions. You can opt-out by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
6. Data Retention
Since your extension data is stored locally, we do not retain it. If you uninstall our extensions, your local data will be removed. We recommend using the "Export" feature within our tools to maintain backups.
